CQ CQ CQ de COQP - Colorado QSO Party is July 15th!
The Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association is sponsoring the 2007 return of
the Colorado QSO Party on July 15th! Mark your calendars now and plan to
get on the air and activate one of the 64 Colorado counties and get ready
for the pile-up as all stations want to contact you! The party runs from
1200Z July 15 to 0400 July 16 (Sunday the 15th in the U.S.). Operation can
be CW, Phone, Digital, or any combination. Operating bands are all HF
contesting bands, VHF, and UHF. There will be many awards given for top
scorers in several categories. The complete rules and latest party

Catch you on the air for COQP!

The above is our official in state announcement of the COQP. Please 
take this informtion to your club meetings and discuss it among your 
amateur radio operator friends. Mention it on your nets and during 
contacts on the air. Three things are needed from individuals and clubs 
in Colorado to make this a successful event.

1. Operate during the COQP from your QTH or a county that you specify.
2. Volunteer to operate from specific counties and grids. See the 
website for more details on rare counties.
3. Sponsor plaques for specified categories. A category listing is 
available on the website. You or your club may also sponsor a special 
category of your choosing. Up to three people may sponsor one plauqe. 
The sponsor(s) will be noted on plaque and on the website. Plaques are 
$30.00 this year.

If you can operate from a rare county or would like to sponsor a plaque 
please email us at the "From" addess above. Plaque checks should be 
made payable to PPRAA-COQP and mailed to PPRAA-COQP Awards, PO Box 
16521, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-6521. Please note the category you or 
your club is sponsoring on the check.

Please assure your club, it's members and all amateurs you contact, in 
state or out of state, are aware of the COQP and has the opportunity to 
participate either from their QTH or rare counties and also to sponsor 
awards.
